Built From the Inside Out

I am building Dunamis Table because I know what it feels like to be overlooked in the middle of deep struggle while still carrying something valuable inside of you. There was a season of my life when I was couch surfing, separated from my children, and fighting to rebuild while carrying layers of trauma that began in childhood. Addiction became both an anchor and an escape — not because I lacked strength or potential, but because painful things had happened to a deeply capable person, and somewhere along the way I stopped believing I mattered enough to fight for.

What would have changed my path sooner was not pity. It was dignity. It was being seen — someone recognizing that even beneath survival mode, shame, and loss, there was still purpose and something worth calling back to life.

That is why I am building Dunamis Table. I am building this from lived understanding, with the belief that restoring personhood is often the first step in restoring a life — for them, and for the version of me who once needed that same kind of welcome.

Where This Is Going

The long-term vision for Walk In Miracles is to grow Dunamis Table into a permanent restaurant-based restoration model — a place where dignity is restored first, where meals open doors to healing and opportunity, and where transitional housing and long-term support help people rebuild stable, meaningful lives. The dream is not just to feed people. It is to change how the world sees and serves them.
